The allotment october

The season for most things now is pretty well finished, although there are some winter crops yet to come.

These 2 squashes are over 40cm long, and although they came from my own butternut seed you can see they have been cross pollinated with another squash, more photos to follow when they are cut, These squashes will keep in a cool place for 4 or more months.

Here is a late collection, another nice squash, 20cm diameter, the last of the kohlrabi, a couple of courgettes and a small sprig of calabrese.

And finally for october, this courgette is now over 50cm in length, it is next years supply of seed, it is still over there for the present but will be brought back fairly soon.
